GLO President, Maurice Jamal

GLO TV President and Chief Creative Officer is Maurice Jamal, a celebrated independent filmmaker who achieved mainstream success and has been profiled in Black Enterprise Magazine, Essence, JET, Variety, OUT Magazine and The Advocate. Mr. Jamal created the landmark films “Ski Trip,” “Friends & Lovers” and “Dirty Laundry” and was listed by OUT Magazine as One of The 100 Most Important Gays in America and by AOL Black Voices as One of the Top 25 Most Influential Black Filmmakers.

The Urban LGBT community, our family, friends and allies reach beyond sexuality, race, gender, body type, education, style, region or creed. GLO TV wants to show the world who we truly are. We’re so excited, because GLO will have it all! From outrageous comedies to powerful dramas, sexy soap operas, reality shows, talk shows, feature films, cutting edge news programs, documentaries and music that breaks boundaries. We'll present artists you can't see anywhere else to your favorite celebrities. Most of our programming is original and we’ll also have some favorites you've grown to love.

A message from our President! (and no we don't mean Barack Obama)
" I’m so excited to be the President of GLO TV. I’ve had much success in this industry and I am glad that I have done so as an openly gay person of color. I've sold films to LOGO, worked at BET and Comedy Central, and I've had successful films on the big screen. But this is the most important thing I have ever done in my career. Every day I get messages from LGBT people all across this country...every race, young and old, who are living life and reaching for their dreams. Some have been inspired by a movie they've seen, or a book they’ve read. Some are dealing with the challenges of living an authentic life. But what we all have in common is our need to be seen and heard for who we truly are. GLO TV is more than just a network. GLO TV is US. It's OUR lives, OUR stories, OUR chance.
